In John 8, Jesus reveals both the compassion and authority of God. When the woman caught in adultery is brought before Him, He exposes the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and offers mercy with the command, “Go and sin no more.” Later, Jesus declares one of His most powerful statements: “I am the light of the world.” In this teaching, we explore how pride blinds the Pharisees to the truth standing in front of them, while humility opens the door to grace, freedom, and eternal life. As Jesus proclaims “Before Abraham was, I AM,” the chapter confronts us with a choice: reject the light or walk in it.
